Pies must arrive between 10 am and 11 am – bring to the Paul C Webb Youth Center (barn at park entrance).   Judging will begin at 11:30, awards will be announced at 2:00.

Criteria: Overall Appearance 15 points
Crust: color, flavor, texture, doneness 20 points
Pie Filling: consistency, doneness, moistness, flavor 25 points
Flavor 30 points
Creativity 10 points

Prizes: 

1st Prize: Longaberger’s new fancy pie basket

Runner Up Prize:  $25.00 gift certificate at Slaughter's Supermarket.

Contest Rules:
Scratch ingredients
No pre-made crusts or fillings
60% of pie must be apples
Must be served room temperature; cannot require refrigeration
List types of apples used
Provide two copies of your recipe (one signed, one blind){recipes may be used for future cookbook}
$ 5 per entry (check or cash)
Pies must be removed by owners after the contest to comply with
health regulations.
Only pre-registered pies will be accepted. 

The finished pie can not contain raw or uncooked eggs(whites or yokes).
Eggs MUST reach 160 degrees to be considered cooked.
